So, You Are Thinking About Volunteering!

Volunteers are the backbone of Sojourn Therapeutic Riding Center. Volunteers make it possible to deliver the many services we offer to our clients. Sojourn TRC is grateful for the collective experiences volunteers bring to our program.

Sojourn TRC offers varied opportunities to volunteer that range from:

Horse Handling and Side-Walking to Gardening, Cleaning the Facility, or Working Directly with Horses’ Physical Needs.

All volunteers receive one-on-one training and are assigned a seasoned volunteer for guidance and support.

Sojourn has a good mix of volunteers, from senior citizens to junior high students. High school volunteers under the age of 18 must have written parental consent. Junior high volunteers must have written consent and will be supervised by older, seasoned volunteers. Volunteers 18 and older are required to pass a criminal background check.
